About Us
The inspiration behind the creation of Bedhug was a little 17-year-old Shih Tzu name Angel.
Like many other small pets, she loved to burrow underneath the bed sheets. As she began to age, her vision slowly started to diminish and she developed arthritis. Simple tasks like jumping on the bed to burrow under the sheets was a pleasure Angel could no longer enjoy. This ignited a passion in us to create something she could cherish once again.
Before we knew it, Bedhug was born. Because she was still using her favorite pet bed, it was love at first sight! She demanded a BedHug everywhere, not negotiable, in the car, in every room, on the outdoor patio... Unfortunately she passed away shortly after at the age of 19. She had a good life!
Meanwhile Angel wasn't the only one to love BedHug, but so did Dolce the cofounder, a miniature dachshund who loved to snuggle up under the bed sheets as well, with or without us, until she met BedHug. After that she was gone, she basically moved into a BedHug, night and day, she would only come visit for a little bit, and I'm not gonna lie it was nice to get privacy back. Unfortunately, Dolce passed away to the age of 10.
And now, our two current pets are not any different, it was love at first sight for them as well, However, Jet one of our pets, grew over 50lbs, and he could't fit our largest size, anymore, so now, bigger sizes L and XL are in the making.
We vowed to ensure that the simple pleasures in life never get taken away, but they will only be celebrated.
With that being said, we are beyond excited to share Bedhug with you and your pet family!
At BedHug, we are dedicated to providing a line of pet products that give back to animals. A portion of profits go to animal rescue organizations as well as the fight against animal cruelty.
